Yuheng Bu

Yuheng Bu obtained his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. Prior to that, he received the B.S. (Hons.) degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University in 2014. His research interests include machine learning, information theory and statistical signal processing. More specifically, his previous research is to develop an information-theoretic understanding of machine learning algorithms and model compression. Bu is also actively involved in developing courses for the IDSS MicroMasters program.
