IDSS Industry Programs

We offer two ways for industry to get involved with IDSS: becoming an Industry Partner (IP) or joining our Industry Alliance (IA).

Industry Partner

Three-year partnerships are typically anchored in education or research

Research partners receive early access to research of interest to them and are invited to interact with faculty and students to explore leading research challenges of common interest — all facilitated by an assigned IDSS postdoctoral associate (postdoc).

Educational partners have the ability to educate their workforce using the IDSS MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science program — all facilitated by an assigned IDSS teaching assistant (TA).

In addition, all Industry Partners join the IDSS External Advisory Board (EAB) and can recruit students, receive VIP access to events, receive name / logo recognition, view exclusive content on our Industry Portal, and schedule meetings and calls with IDSS faculty leadership.

Industry Alliance

Alliance members sign on for a two-year term and join a group of leading thinkers in artificial intelligence, computation, data science, economics, human and institutional behavior, information and decision theory, machine learning, operations research, statistics, and many other disciplines.

Members can also recruit students, receive VIP access to events, receive name / logo recognition, and view exclusive content on our Industry Portal. Alliance members typically join to gain access to MIT and IDSS to explore how they would like to engage. Alliance members can upgrade to a Partner at any time.
