Yash Deshpande is presently a Postdoctoral Associate for the Sociotechnical Systems Research Center. He was previously the Schramm postdoctoral scholar at Microsoft Research, New England and MIT Mathematics. Yash received his MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.  Prior to his graduate studies, he received his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.   His research interests are in statistical inference, graphical models, message passing algorithms and applied probability.
