Jinzhi Bu obtained her Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in July 2019. Prior to that, she received her B.S. in Mathematics from Nanjing University in 2015. Her research interests include optimization under uncertainty and data-driven decision-making, with applications to supply chain management and stochastic inventory control. The emphasis of her previous research is to provide theoretical understanding on the performance of heuristic policies for complex inventory systems. More specifically, she conducted the asymptotic analysis of some simple and easy-to-implement policies for the lost-sales inventory systems and perishable inventory systems.
