David Simchi-Levi is a professor of engineering systems at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on developing and implementing robust and efficient techniques for manufacturing and supply chains. He has published widely in professional journals on both practical and theoretical aspects of supply chain management. He initiated a large scale research program focusing on the development of new business analytics solutions to help organizations make more informed decisions, solving some of the most challenging problems faced by today’s global companies. Prof. Simchi-Levi has taught in numerous executive education programs at Northwestern University (Kellogg), MIT (Sloan School of Management), University of Michigan Business School, and Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration to name a few. He has also designed and taught executive programs for many companies.
