Superfund Research Program/IDSS: Postdoctoral Associate
POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS), to join a multidisciplinary research team working with the MIT Superfund Research Program using data science techniques to integrate environmental modeling and data on biological responses to mixtures of contaminants. The project aims to better understand how modeling data can be used to better understand both exposure to and biological responses from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), as well as the pathways of exposure to multiple substances including PFASs in the Northeast U.S. using multiple methods. Will work with Professor Noelle Selin together with collaborating groups in both engineering and biological sciences to analyze data and to ensure that outputs are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR). Potential analysis techniques include data driven modeling and machine learning algorithms. Through the Superfund Research Program, engagement with stakeholder communities will also be a core part of the research process.
